Chinese Tuxedo | NYC

In recent years we have been lucky enough to work with some of the world's best chefs and restauranteurs and Chinese Tuxedo in New York City is an amazing venue we have been so excited to be involved with.

Owned by Melbournian Eddy Buckingham and NYC restaurant consultant Jeff Lam, and headed up by chef Paul Donnelly, since opening in 2016 the venue has won an EATER award for its fitout which features exposed walls, mid century furnuture and lush greenery all surrounded by candlelight.

Sam Gordon who drives the hospitality side of our business tells us 'The building has an incredible story and was formerly a Chinese Theater and also the site of one of the most notorious shootouts in NYC in the early 1900s.'

The heritage of the building was definitely considered when Chinese Tuxedo were working on the fitout, exposing the original columns and walls. They have uncovered architectural details that haven't been seen in perhaps a century. Our handmade pottery is right at home in this unique space with the chefs plating up on Earth Dinnerware and Tapas Collection.
